“Children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for future”

There’s no backing out from the above line. We all agree that children are the future of our country. Then don’t we need to ensure that this future of ours is bright and guarded?? After all how could we ask for a safe and glorious future if we could not contribute in building up in that way?

According to UNICEF estimates over 11 million children are poverty stricken in India and have no access to even the basic amenities. Deepalaya is doing its bit in ensuring that these children have a better living. This could not be done without your support. So on this Children’s Day come forward and support our two Alumnies-Chiranjeet and Madhuri, who have chosen to be the Dream Makers in the upcoming Airtel Delhi Half Marthon and help their Alma-Mater in helping many more like them. Read on the story of Chiranjeet and Madhuri to know more about them.

Chiranjeet-Reaching the Skies

“I stand TALL in the world thanks to Deepalaya”, says nearly 5.7 feet tall Chiranjeet, an alumni Of Deepalaya School, Sanjay Colony.

Chiranjeet’s story is one that embodies triumph over adversity. Life was never easy for him. His father was a daily wage labourer was keen to educate his children but limited means acted as a hindrance.Deepalaya opened a new lease of life and unprecedented doors for Chiranjeet. Quality education at highly subsidized rates at Deepalaya, enabled his father to enroll him in Deepalaya in LKG and his association continues ever since.

He was not only good in studies but also in extra co-curricular activities. He was also the sole Deepalayan to have completed the certificate course in Diploma in Business Management offered by Dhirtii Foundation. He now works as a Marketing Manager with a private firm.

“I want to run as a Dream Challenger in Airtel Delhi Half Marathon and help many more like me.Please support me and help me in realizing my dream of helping them”, says the 23 year old.

Madhuri-Dreams Fulfilled

“A deprived background is not a hindrance to attaining success”. These lines hold true for 19 year old Madhuri-an ex-student of Deepalaya.

Madhuri is another example of triumph and success amidst many adversities. Madhuri’s father is a daily wage painter and found it difficult to support his family of five, let alone managing the educational expenses of his three children.

Madhuri joined Ramditti J.R.Narang Deepalaya School in LKG. She has always been a brilliant student and thus got a scholarship for a Private school in grade III. However her association with Deepalaya continued and she remained in closed quarters with her teachers and principal.

Being financially supported by Deepalaya, Madhuri is currently pursuing graduation in Political Science from Miranda House and aspires to become a journalist.

‘A teacher impacts eternity’-agreeing with these lines, Madhuri says, “Teachers at Deepalaya have always encouraged me and guided me. It’s because of them that I was able to reach here”. Madhuri is filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude towards Deepalaya and has decided to participate in Airtel Delhi Half Marathon to support Deepalaya in helping others like me. “As a dream challenger I want to help my Deepalaya in bringing light in the lives of many underprivileged people like me. Please support me to fulfill my dream”, says the 19 year old.

YES!!I would like to support Chiranjeet and Madhuri in fulfilling their dream.
