A letter from Kanika Gahlaut

A little girl about 4 or 5 years old, with fine, delicate features and bangs that fall on her face …shortly after our arrival at Deepalaya, the children’s school at Sanjay Colony slum in the backstreets of Okhla, she gently reached out to hold hands with me. And for almost the entire two -hour visit, she would not let go. And neither would I. My hand got sweaty, I couldn’t really take many pictures and I missed some of the tour. But I decided not to let go until she did.

All we want is Peace, come what may

Peach March was organised by Deepalaya Learning Centre Titron, SaharanpurDeepalaya collaborated with International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) – a subsidiary of Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light (HWPL) – for spreading the message of peace. HWPL is associated with UN Department of Public Information. Considering the consequences of war and terrorism on lives of millions of people in the world, HWPL has come up with a convention on renunciation & cessation of war. However, the same is not a law and is not legally enforceable.
