Help a Needy Today

Manoj Kumar- a tailor by profession has left his son’s life on fate. He had been managing to meet both ends meet with a meager income. Destiny seemed to add on to his woes when six months back his 11 year old son-Aakash came down with high fever. Treatment at the local doctors did not give any relief.

Aakash was referred to the nearby govt hospital- Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital, where after necessary tests he was diaganosed with Fanconi anemia. Fanconi anemia is a disease which prevents the bone marrow from making enough new blood cells for the body to work normally.

He has since then been admitted in the hospital as he requires a blood and blood platelets transfusion every alternate day. Normally the hospital does not charge, but in case blood/platelets are unavailable, the family has to pay Rs 1800-2000 per transfusion. The family also bears the cost of the expensive medicines and injections.
Generous donations are sought from kind hearted individuals. All donors will be kept informed about the progress in Aakash’s health. All donations are eligible for income tax rebate at 50% under section 80 G. Receipts and income tax certificate shall be issued by Deepalaya. Payments could be made online or through Cheques and drafts to be drawn in favour of Deepalaya and to be sent to Deepalaya, 46, Institutional Area, D Block, Janakpuri, New Delhi.
