Science has always been a subject thought to be a pursuit of intelligent minds. But at National Science Center this notion gets changed. The National Centre in New Delhi is a Science museum set up with an aim of inculcating scientific awareness amongst masses and to evoke interest in the field of science. An exposure trip was conducted for 88 students enrolled at Deepalaya Community Development programme, Tilak Nagar on 19th November, 2016. Exposure trip were organised by students of Deepalaya Community Development Program, Tilak NagarThe students visited all the seven galleries, which portrayed ancient history, human biology, pre-historic life, emerging technologies, water: the elixir of life.
They teachers briefed the students about the ideas and concepts displayed there in a very interesting manner. These galleries also helped them understand the growth of science from pre historic times till date. The students were taking lot of interest in understanding the principles of science behind various day to day activities. The most entertaining was the Fun Science Gallery. They were given Children enjoying their outing with their teachers and classmates at India Gatelight refreshment before they moved on to India Gate – which was the next spot for their visit.
They enjoyed the scenic beauty of the place and had lunch. Then everybody started playing badminton, cricket and other fun activities. After getting their pictures clicked and spending time together, the students were very happy while boarding the bus back home and expressed their interest in having more such trips organized for them.
