Job interviews were arranged form Deepalaya VTC students

For the last few years, Deepalaya has been running three-month basic computer course modules in collaboration with NIIT Foundation at its various Learning Centres in Delhi. In addition to basic computer hardware and software operating skills, students coming from underprivileged sections of the society are periodically given special sessions on verbal communication and personality development in our VTCs, which prepare them for the road ahead.

On 20th December 2017, 16 students from VTC Deepalaya Patel Garden recently attended a job interview at Spur Vision Multi Services Pvt. Ltd. office in Uttam Nagar (Nawada), Delhi. The interviews were held for the positions of telesales executives, team leaders, and team manager. There was a HR Round followed by a face to face interaction with the top officials of the company. In the skill sets, the company had previously asked that candidates should have good communication skills in Hindi/English and should be confident in approach.

Mr. Pawan and Mr. Prince from NIIT Foundation coordinated for this interview. Most of our VTC students were 12th pass or graduates, and came from economically underprivileged backgrounds; but that was not a hurdle for them anymore. They answered the employers’ sharply and confidently, and impressed the panel. As a matter of fact, all of them got selected for various entry level positions. But for Deepalaya and NIIT, it was almost impossible for them to be groomed and equipped adequately for such interviews. 3 of our students decided to join the company. Deepalaya wishes them good luck for the future.
