Shankar's family shifted to Delhi in search of a job. His father started work as a driver and mother was working as a maid servant. His life had gone from bad to worse. His dear father passed away when he was barely four. He also lost his mother after some time. Shankar and his siblings were forced to leave the small room that they were staying in. They were living in a very bad condition on footpath but his life changed when he came in contact with Deepalaya during May, 2004. At that time he was only 5 years old. He was referred to us by one of our associates. It was a turning point in his life. He was very sharp minded from the beginning and got first division every year. He cleared his class 10th and 12th with good marks.
“All I got at Deepalaya was love, compassion, encouragement, confidence and education. I saw a dream in my life, I hope it is coming true,” says Shankar.
He just completed his diploma in Mechanical engineering from the Govt College Manesar and got placement in Jindal Stainless Steel Limited. Now he wishes to support others and give back to society.
