Cervical Cancer and HPV Vaccine awareness session for 400 women and students.

Deepalaya, in collaboration with All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) conducted a mass awareness drive on sensitising parents and children on Cervical Cancer and HPV Vaccine. Under the government initiative Swasthya Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, this program that educated 400 women and girls was held today at Deepalaya School, Kalkaji Extension.

The resource persons for the program Mr. Mathew Varghese (from Preventive Oncology, IRCH, AIIMS, New Delhi) and Adv. Dr. K C George, CEO Deepalaya and Former Joint Director (NIPCCD) & Women and Child Development (MWCD), motivated the participants to safeguard themselves from Cervical Cancer which is the leading cause of cancer mortality among women.
