Deepalaya in collaboration with Fluor Daniel India Pvt. Ltd. is trying to create a sustainable and replicable model of combating Stubble Burning – A Step Towards Improving the Air Quality and Health Status in Delhi-National Capital Region, 10 Red Zone Villages of Karnal District, Haryana

The project is aimed at creating awareness amongst the farmers about the harmful effects of stubble burning and educating them about alternative methods of managing crop residue in collaboration with IARI, PUSA and other Government Agencies.

On 25th February 2022, Deepalaya, in collaboration with Fluor Daniel India Pvt. Ltd. v distributed Spray machines to forty (40) farmers from ten (10) villages of Karnal, Haryana. The majority of the farmers are from Backward Classes. Five awareness programs were conducted for more than 250 farmers on stubble management machinery, use of the “Rotavator Machine”, different government schemes available for farmers on stubble management, the impact of Bio Decomposer in the field, and sharing of the soil-testing reports.
