Empowering futures through education! Empowering futures through education Donate Now Follow us on social media Join our mission to bring quality education to All Children! Each Child Matters ! Since 46 years, Deepalaya has been working in some of the most underserved communities across 11 states of India with one guiding vision: Every child -irrespective of financial conditions, circumstances, gender, or ability-deserves access to quality education so they can grow into self-reliant, empowered individuals. At Deepalaya, education is not just learning—it is a pathway to self-reliance, dignity, and opportunity. Why This Matters Children from vulnerable families face multiple challenges: First-generation learning struggles in the most aspirational districts of Haryana – Most parents at Gusbethi (Mewat) have never attended school due to which they are unable to guide their wards in studies, as a result children need extra support in their academics. Economic hardship – Family financial pressures often push children into work instead of school. Weak foundational skills – Many children lag behind in reading, writing, and numeracy due to lack of initiative and support from home. High dropout risks – Without timely intervention and guidance, children are at risk of abandoning education in their early years. Without proper support and mentoring these children remain trapped in the cycle of poverty. A Story of Hope: Shama – First-Generation Learner in Nuh Shama, a 9 year old girl from Nuh District in Haryana, would often copy homework from friends as there was no one at home who could be part of her academic growth. A first-generation learner, she faced challenges at every step of her education until she was handed holded by the teachers at the Deepalaya Sen. Sec. School Gusbethi. The teachers ensured that Shama is actively and regularly participating in class and even gave her extra remedial classes to ensure one-on-one mentoring and academic guidance.. Once a girl who would only pick up books to see the pictures and graphics, today recites poems and participates in extempores with ease and confidence. Shama is determined to become an engineer and her story is a powerful example of how quality education ensures transformation and fosters self-reliance. Impact So Far    Over 4,00,000 children have been benefited under Education across 11 states Over 5,000 first-generation learners supported amongst the most backwards regions of the country 11 learning centres spread across 2 states ensures at bridging gaps for vulnerable children Thousands of out of school children mainstreamed into formal schools Holistic support through education, health, nutrition, and counselling Every classroom is a safe space where children build the confidence, skills, and resilience to chase their dreams and become self-reliant citizens.
